About Francesca
Francesca was born in Savona, a little town on the coast in Liguria, Italy, where the summer is longer than 4 months a year and winter is very mild, mitigate from the sea currents of the Ligurian golf. She moved to Glasgow in 2013 but she spent her childhood between the summery wild beach life, practicing indoor and outdoor sports, and winter sports in the Italian and French Alps.
Despite the beauty of Liguria, Francesca wanted to expand her horizons and to experience more than Savona could offer. She first tried to find her place in the world in other Italian cities; this brought her to live in various part of the spaghetti peninsula, from the hot South to the rich North, though without much luck.
However, she always believed that the road to success is paved with failures, and that dreams in the drawer go mouldy. To that end, in 2013 she took a leap of faith and decided to move to Scotland to follow her dreams.
Francesca now works as an Orthotist in Scotland, a Yoga Teacher and Health & Life Coach part-time, and still plays softball for the AJs Team in the Glasgow League.
Francesca completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training course in 2021 and graduated as a Yoga Teacher with Seasonal Yoga in Glasgow. She graduated with an MRes in Health Research during Covid-19 outbreak in June 2020 and is currently working toward a PhD in Health Sciences at the University of Stirling. Cooking, travelling, blogging and horticulture are among her hobbies.
Francesca is committed with all her heart to make the world a far better place to live for everyone, and to improving people’s health and lives. She has been told many times that she wears her heart on her sleeve, and brings Italian passion to all her ventures and pursuits.
