Yoga Healing is offering Mum and Baby Yoga Classes in Glasgow to bring together mums and give a unique experience to both you and your little one.
For mums the class will focus on gentle postnatal yoga and a little bit of workout to strengthen muscles and promote relaxation. After having a baby Yoga can help to tone muscles, rehabilitate your pelvic floor and tune with your body again. Practicing self-care is the key to feel well and make your baby feel well too.
For babies there will be gentle stretches to build strength and flexibility. Mum and Baby Yoga will provide a space to connect with your baby in a baby-friendly environment.
The class will also include little games to develop the bond between mother and baby.
Have you never practiced Yoga? Don’t worry, no previous experience is required!
Yoga will make you feel relaxed, stretched and stronger!
Research shows that yoga will help you to bond with your baby and relax, “Postnatal yoga can offer calm and a sense of wellbeing helping mothers to improve and stabilise their emotional health. Additionally, the mother is able to focus on her relationship with her baby, rebuild the weakened pelvic floor, strengthen the abdominal muscles and even alleviate back and neck pain. For babies, yoga can aid digestion and alleviate colic; help to strengthen tiny limbs; improve sleep patterns; and enhance their ability to interact with their mother and other people” (MacDonald C. 2013).
Mum and Baby Yoga classes at Merry Go Round, 36 Nithsdale Road G41 2AN, Glasgow, are suitable for mums and babies from 6 weeks to 18 months old (or until they are able to walk confidently). Make sure you have Doctor’s check before to attend yoga classes.
